Some cool songs that makes me remeber good times and feel calm, relaxed and happy...

Some worries came during that week and hearing this song make me feel really relaxed and thinking that I have always a remedy for things and really don't need to worry too much...

I remember the first time I moved out of home to the university and I feel free, happy and with a new life!
I was walking down the street in direction of some friends home to drink some beers and watch some movie or else...this song started playing in my head.

Saturday afternoon playing football in the old field with some old friends and so much memories in there, sunday morning..playing football with family and friends, monday night the usual training game with the campus friends...

These songs have a common word: Summer!

Song #993: Animal Collective - Fireworks

It was summer and I was on vacation with some friends and I remember we stayed in this beautiful beach playing Voley for hours until the sunset and then getting into the sea to catch some good waves...
A magical moment to remember with this anthem song.

I started my holidays a little bit soon then my friends from college, 'cause they still have examination to do...but as I was alone with nothing to do I wished they endend it quick so we can enjoy the summer together! I wished really that: "everyday should be a holiday"

After a couple of days I get back to work here writing about some of my favourite songs...
Today the kind of music and the lyrics of these songs remind me the time of ending and the re-starting of classes in the campus.

Song #997: Foo Fighters - Next Year

It was the end of May, and also the ending of the first year.
I was in a hurry and getting stressed about the examination period that would be coming.
And everyone get the last class of the season...with a simply "bye! see you next year!" all of it ended like it was.
I was hoping that the "next year" would be at least this good again...but the first year is always diferent and for me it was the best for sure!

Song #996: Bloc Party - Two More Years

And so it begins again! The new year in the campus!
I heard from some friends it would be just "two more years" to end the grad.
I felt strange 'cause 2 years would be good for study a little bit more and then start working...but.. would be 2 more years enough for partying and live the real campus life?
"You don't need to find answers..."

Song #995: Youth Group - Shadowland

Just this begining says a lot about what happened in that begining:
"Released under watchful skies into a town I didn't recognise"
I saw again "dark crows" but this time I was off the game
"I walked down these familiar streets, now filled with circus freaks
My plans are as useful as a baby's hand there's no planning in
shadowland"
The perfect picture of these moments and song is a walk to the canteen and passing in front of the big garden where the pledges where initiated..there they was...suffering like I did in shadowland, soon they'll realise those would be the best times...!

These Glorious Indie Days #1000 Songs

These glorious indie days will begin a long process of publishing 1000 songs that mean a lot to me.

The idea came when I saw a similar post in Tympanogram blog, where Dave and Andy proposes to post 1000 minutes of songs with 2 musics almost every day counting down to form the first minute to the 1000th one.

Their idea is to imagine they have a mp3 player with 1000 minutes free and they will be lost in a desert island forever. So in this particular situation...what could be the songs you would probably would like to hear forever...

My idea came with an alternative pattern, 1000 minutes is about 250 musics in mean. I upgraded the idea to 1000 songs.

Song #1000: Coldplay - Fix You
from Indie Live 1 Album: The Ending Summer

This song is one of the most important songs of my life. I heard it first and frequently in a difficult hard time for me, a time of deep changes, hard days coming and a whole new life I was starting to live. In the begining it was so hard that I just went to bed and tried to forget everything...I didn't feel like I was ready for the new life, and like in the song's lyrics...

"When you try your best but you don't succeed...
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse...
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?"

...I felt the same way...
Then I heard the final part of it...an inspiration..a light at the end of the tunnel...

"Lights will guide you home, And ignite your bones, And I will try to fix you"

It gives me mental sanity again to look forward and raise the head, prepare the soul and release the heart...ready for the bad and the good things of the new life, ready for the another battle, emerging myself from the bottom and try to fix...myself!

Song #999: Alexi Murdoch - Orange Sky
from Indie Live 5: Pride & Fear Like A Sunset

It's a sad but also relaxing song, one of my favourites and with an intensive emotional sentimentalism.
I pictured it in the campus, at the end of the year with the examination period on and, in a time when I actually felt lonely too much, that I needed to smoke a cigarette and watch the sunset between the river and the old canteen while listening to this song.
I heard it for 6 years since and still feel the same when listening to it.

Song #998: José Gonzalez - Slow Moves
from Indie Live 1: The Headlock

This song represents one of the moments when I was heartbroken...
I had a chance again to get together with the girl I loved but everything went wrong in that night...
I got drunk, said stupid things, act like an idiot and went home alone from the concert hall.
In the morning after I woke up feeling so bad that I couldn't move from the bed and I barely talked for hours...
I remember I went for a walk around the campus and the feeling started to disuate a little...but just a little.
